Role Description
This is a full-time online role for a Social Media Manager at Mendje The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing social media marketing initiatives, communicating with team members, developing content strategies, writing marketing strategies and proposing new ideas, optimizing social media presence, and writing engaging content.
Job Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop engaging, creative, and educational content (text, image, and video) tailored to our platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
- Social Media Management: Manage and update our social media accounts, ensuring regular posts that align with our values and branding.
- Campaign Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute digital campaigns that promote events, achievements, and initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Monitor, engage, and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools to measure the success of content and campaigns, providing regular reports to improve engagement and outreach.
- Photography & Videography: Capture photos and videos during mental health events, activities, and other important events.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the content team to generate content ideas.
- Graphic Design: Assist in designing promotional materials, infographics, and visual content using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and strategies to ensure the the content remains fresh, engaging, and relevant.
- Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a social media content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting of relevant content across platforms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- 2-3 years of experience managing social media, ideally in mental health or wellness.
- Basic graphic design and video editing proficiency (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Skilled in platform tools to enhance engagement and reach.
- Strong writing and editing skills for creating engaging, brand-aligned content.
- Experienced in analyzing social media analytics (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite) to improve strategies.
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles and running paid social media campaigns.
- Creative with fresh content ideas tailored to Mendje’s audience.
- Familiar with SEO and keyword optimization for searchability.
- Passion for mental health topics, empathetic communicator, and keen interest to our mission and values.
