About Us

The Living Stones Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through impactful projects worldwide. As we prepare for a proof-of-concept launch, we are seeking passionate volunteers to join us as a Brand Designer. This role is essential in helping shape and communicate our brand identity visually, supporting our mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Identity and Design:

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity for the foundation, including logo, color scheme, typography, and design assets.
  • Create engaging, on-brand graphics for a variety of platforms including social media, print materials, presentations, and web content.
  • Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to ensure visual content aligns with the foundation’s message and mission.

Campaigns and Projects:

  • Design promotional materials, such as posters, flyers, and social media graphics, for fundraising campaigns and community outreach.
  • Contribute creative ideas for new initiatives, ensuring designs communicate the core values of the foundation effectively.

Digital Design:

  • Produce visually appealing content for online platforms, including social media posts, newsletters, and website graphics.
  • Work with the technology team to enhance user experience and design elements for our digital presence.

Consistency and Guidelines:

  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Train and support volunteers or staff on how to use design resources to maintain brand coherence.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and program coordinators, to align design work with organizational goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance the overall visual strategy of the foundation’s initiatives.

Required Experience

  • 0 - 1+ years of experience in graphic design, brand design, or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles and brand identity.
  • Creativity and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear visuals.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in creating digital assets for social media, websites, or email campaigns.
  • Knowledge of design best practices for nonprofit organizations.
  • Familiarity with basic UI/UX principles.

Important Details

This is an unpaid volunteer position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while enhancing your professional portfolio. Volunteers must commit to a biweekly 30-minute meeting.
