Overview

The Graphic Designer is part of the Sales and Business Services department, which resides on the Marketing and Communications team and reports to the Senior Marketing Communications Manager. The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation, design, and management of print and digital marketing materials in support of CIS’s mission and goals. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with cross functional teams to create cohesive assets that reflect the CIS mission and value propositions in order to support the development and execution of the overall CIS marketing strategy. This position will provide support for other Marketing activities as needed. This position will provide exceptional service to all customers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention and representing CIS and the MarCom team in a professional and courteous manner.

What You'll Do

  • Effectively communicate with the Marketing and Communications team and stakeholders to translate written or spoken ideas into appropriate layouts or visuals
  • Design, create, and maintain printed and electronic marketing materials and collateral including handouts, brochures, flyers, eBooks, and other content in various formats
  • Use creative storytelling techniques to develop graphics, illustrations, infographics, and video storyboards to help visualize complex cybersecurity concepts and increase engagement
  • Conceptualize and design advertisements for use online and in print in accordance with required Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) specifications
  • Produce material files in appropriate formats for commercial and in-house printers as well as various electronic formats
  • Inventory and organize all assets and maintain version control
  • Learn and utilize the CIS branding guidelines including logo usage requirements, color palette, typography, and visual strategy
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment to deliver simultaneous projects on deadline
  • Collaborate with external vendors including graphic designers and web designers
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline*
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • A strong portfolio of B2B design work for review
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
  • Ability to be highly creative and imaginative
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to apply constructive criticism from peers and colleagues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Certification in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with additional software in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in tech-related industry
  • Demonstrated experience with content marketing and/or understanding technical subjects
  • Experience with WordPress websites, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Experience creating videos with Adobe Premiere

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
