We are proud to work on borderless teams. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds and specifically encourage members of refugee, immigrant or other displaced communities to join us.
The Team
The goal of the Marketing & Communications team is to raise Alight’s brand awareness and differentiate Alight in the eyes of our customers, partners, and funders so that we can further our impact with displaced people around the globe.
You’re joining a small but mighty team of marketing and communications professionals (Marketing & Communications Director, Senior Graphic Designer, Senior Brand Writer, Digital & Social Media Specialist, Marketing & Engagement Specialist) that are looking to share Alight’s story with the world.
The Role
Based in your chosen location, you’ll report to the Marketing & Communications Director but also be guided by the Senior Graphic Designer. Simply put, your purpose will be to create marketing collateral for internal and external storytelling.
You’ll know you’re doing well if the beautiful communication materials you create empower your colleagues to effectively amplify Alight’s story. In addition, you will ensure that everything released by the organization reflects Alight’s brand guidelines and values.
Building a shared organization takes time and intention. We will always be becoming Alight, which means your work will evolve as well. For now, here’s how you could anticipate spending your time:
Visual Design – 70 % of time
Bring ideas to life visually across a wide range of channels. You may be called upon to work on deliverables such as: social media graphics, website and publication graphics, event materials, branded merchandise and beautiful presentation decks
Collaborate closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, Senior Brand Writer and Digital & Social Media Specialist, as well as Program Teams across Alight’s global organization in order to launch campaigns and design deliverables
Ensure alignment with Alight’s existing brand guidelines and contribute to the evolution of the guidelines if required. You will ensure quality across all of Alight’s design assets
Design Production - 20 % of time
Support the production of Alight’s storytelling assets – photographs, videography, branded merchandise etc.
Coordinate and manage all facets of print production projects from start to finish, maintaining quality and timeliness throughout. This includes writing effective creative briefs that reflect the goals, printing requirements, scheduling, and budget constraints
New or Interesting Projects/Progressive Responsibilities – 10 %
Lean into the things you love and spark your interest, within or outside your team. We need you to honor the work that you’ve committed to doing, but also know that when you are unleashed, so are we.
Note: Given the nature of Alight’s work, sometimes it’s ALL HANDS ON DECK. Bring your team spirit and willingness to pitch in where you’re needed in extraordinary circumstances.
Anticipated travel – 5 % (domestic)
