This assignment is remote and project-based, with an immediate focus on two key projects, and potential for additional work in the future.
If you’re a designer who can marry modern, elevated design with strong UX and is passionate about social impact this opportunity is for you!
Key Deliverables:
- Collaborate with the marketing and partnerships teams to design web pages that are visually striking, user-centered, and purpose-driven, creating a modern, elevated look that communicates the impact and urgency of the issues we cover.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts.
- Enhance the user experience through optimized navigation, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure accessibility across devices.
- Ensure alignment with Devex’s brand and strengthen the company’s digital identity.
- Build, manage, and maintain landing pages, microsites, and web assets within the Marketo platform.
- Apply SEO best practices throughout website design to increase discoverability and drive engagement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Marketo pages and integrations.
We are looking for a website designer for the two immediate following projects. There is potential for additional assignments based on team needs and performance going forward.
Project 1: Design and Develop New Templates for Devex Summits and Events
Develop new, visually compelling, and user-centered templates for Devex’s summit and event pages. The goal is to showcase the unique value of each event, attract high-level speakers and sponsors, boost attendance, and streamline the registration process.
Project 2: Design and Develop New Templates for Devex Content Series
Redesign content series pages by assessing current layouts, user engagement data, and content needs. Create wireframes, mock-ups, and design elements that showcase multimedia content in dynamic, engaging ways, encouraging readers to interact with the site. Focus on improving navigability and enhancing user engagement throughout the content experience.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in web design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, or Sketch.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and web accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices to embed messaging and keywords and track engagement.
- Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
