Project Based – Graphic Designer for packaging

Job Summary
Ready Artwork is seeking a talented Packaging Designer with a passion for beauty and cosmetics to create innovative, visually stunning packaging designs that reflect the elegance and quality of our client’s brand. This is a project-based role requiring expertise in print design, packaging aesthetics, and production-ready file preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design unique, brand-aligned packaging solutions for beauty and cosmetic products.
• Create production-ready artwork, including dielines, for various packaging formats.
• Collaborate closely with the project managers and Ready Artwork’s creative team to ensure alignment with the brand’s vision and objectives.
• Ensure all designs are optimized for print production with a deep understanding of CMYK color systems and printing techniques.
• Prepare final files for production, adhering to industry standards and ensuring quality control.
• Stay updated on current packaging trends in the beauty and cosmetics industry.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in packaging design, specifically within the beauty and cosmetics sector.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in print and packaging design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Comprehensive knowledge of print design, including CMYK color systems and dieline creation.
• Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of packaging production processes.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to client feedback.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with luxury and high-end beauty aesthetics.
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly packaging materials and practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team and clients.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
