WordPress Designer and Developer

We are looking for a skilled and innovative WordPress Designer and Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications for our clients. You will transform creative concepts into functional, visually engaging, and user-friendly digital experiences while collaborating with the design and content teams to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Website Design: Craft visually appealing website designs that align with client branding, color schemes, and content requirements.
• Website Development: Use your WordPress expertise to build and customize websites and web applications in line with project goals and design standards.
• Theme and Plugin Development: Create custom themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and appearance or adapt existing ones as needed.
• Front-End Development: Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure responsive, cross-browser, and cross-device compatibility.
• Back-End Development: Configure WordPress installations, databases, and server environments. Integrate APIs and third-party services as required.
• Content Management: Handle content updates and modifications on WordPress sites while following SEO best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and architecture. Implement structured data, canonical URLs, and secure HTTPS to enhance technical SEO.
• Security and Maintenance: Apply security measures to protect websites from threats. Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience: 5-8 years in WordPress development with a portfolio of successful projects.
• Background in website design for WordPress, adhering to brand guidelines and content strategies. Proficiency with tools like Figma or Adobe Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of graphic design and expertise in digital media or fine arts is beneficial.
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• In-depth understanding of WordPress architecture, themes (e.g., Divi, Elementor), plugins, and APIs.
• Familiarity with front-end libraries or frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, and jQuery.
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.
• Solid grasp of SEO principles and best practices.
• Ability to use design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch) to extract assets and execute designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Proficiency in advanced English is required.
• Open to hybrid work in Guadalajara and candidates from Mexico City.
