Responsibilities
- Strategists are ultimately responsible for a deep and nuanced understanding of our clients, their industry, and their target audience
- They are also responsible for ideating and refining a big-picture campaign strategy that will ensure clients meet those goals
- They cultivate long-term client relationships and are the client's POC throughout the campaign
- Strategy Responsibilities
- During client onboarding, cultivate a deep and intimate understanding of clients' industry, target audience(s), brand voice and tone, competitive advantages, and campaign goals to create a clear and comprehensive roadmap for their campaign
- Ability to articulate a thorough, intuitive, creative and research-based understanding of how a client's campaign strategy will help them to achieve their most important goals
- This needs to be shared regularly with content teams and clients to ensure ongoing buy in and alignment
- Maintain and revise the Strategy Roadmap doc, as needed, throughout the duration of the campaign
- It is an iterative process
- Drive upsells and renewals by pinpointing and presenting strategy opportunities to teammates and clients
- Working closely with writers and editors to dig into keywords, search intent, and client site to align on strategic opportunities and ensure team alignment
- Client Relationship & Project Management Responsibilities
- Successfully cultivate a trusting and collaborative relationship with each of their clients
- Keep the client engaged and excited, as well as educated on our strategic plan to achieve their goals
- Has great organization and clarity in all of the tasks, emails, agendas, action items and workflows they are responsible for so clients feel led, cared for, and confident that work is being completed on time and at a high level
- Reporting Responsibilities
- Generate quarterly client analysis reports, present to content team and client, and use this information to continually improve and realign campaign strategy throughout the duration of a campaign to ensure we are on track toward our benchmarks
- Readily available to answer client questions and share additional data points
- Review live deliverable links monthly/quarterly to ensure high level strategy is being executed in actual deliverables and performance is where it should be
- Report findings to internal and client teams along with strategic pivots as needed

The Associate Strategist role is a unique opportunity for early to mid career professionals looking to enter into campaign strategy and consultancy work and is a natural career progression for current Project Managers or Client Success Managers. This position lends itself to eager candidates looking to grow their careers into higher-level management and consulting roles. We are looking to bring on a new Associate SEO Marketing Strategist to our growing team. Our SEO Strategists are the creative and strategic generators of our client campaigns. Strategists are ultimately responsible for a deep and nuanced understanding of our clients, their industry, and their target audience. They are also responsible for ideating and refining a big-picture campaign strategy that will ensure clients meet those goals. They cultivate long-term client relationships and are the client's POC throughout the campaign. They work within a team of Writers, Editors, and Web Designers to provide an excellent experience for clients and the highest level of SEO strategy for each piece of content we deliver.
