Position Summary:
Calm Seas Psychotherapy, a trauma-focused mental health practice serving military personnel, law enforcement officers, and their families, is seeking a Part-Time Website Designer. This position is ideal for military spouses, veterans, law enforcement retirees, or those with experience supporting these communities.
Salary Range: $35 - 40 per hour
The Website Designer will maintain and continually update our website to provide critical information about our services, events, and resources that specifically support first responders, law enforcement officers, and military families.
What You’ll Do:
- Regularly update website content: services, workshops, 12-week support groups, and upcoming events tailored for law enforcement and military communities.
- Maintain an events page for quarterly conferences, workshops, and educational programs for families, including children’s grief and trauma support.
- Add resources for surviving families of law enforcement deaths, military trauma survivors, and first responder-specific mental health education.
- Ensure the website reflects Calm Seas Psychotherapy’s dedication to trauma recovery and resilience in the law enforcement and military communities.
- Improve user experience, ensuring the website is easy to navigate for busy first responders, military personnel, and their families.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to post updates, blog articles, and new treatment programs.
- Monitor and optimize site performance for desktop and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot website issues promptly and efficiently.
Who You Are:
- A website designer with experience in WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace (portfolio required).
- Passionate about serving the law enforcement, first responder, and military communities.
- Familiar with HTML, CSS, and basic SEO principles (preferred).
- Able to work independently, manage your time, and deliver updates on schedule.
- A detail-oriented and creative professional with excellent communication skills.
- Bonus: Familiarity with mental health services, scheduling integrations, and resource-driven web design.
